The Master of Arts in Religious Studies (MA) is a 1 - 2 year program, with both thesis- and non-thesis option seeks to introduce students to the advanced study of religion. It is open both to students who intend to continue on to pursue a doctorate in the discipline and to those for whom it will be a terminal degree in religious studies. This degree is typically open to applicants with a first degree in religious studies or with experience or an approved degree in an allied field acceptable to the department.
